Newsletter day is changing!
Okay, guys, I’ve been thinking about doing this for a long time and the email for the monthly subscribers has rolled around, so I’m doing it. I’m going to change the day I’m sending my newsletter.
I’ve been doing it on the weekends for ages and it’s just not working for me. I’ve been thinking about how to word this and I want to preface it with the fact that writing and sending the newsletter to you guys is still one of my favourite parts of the week.
For those who don’t know, though, I work a full-time “day job” as well as having a family, and sending the newsletter on the weekend has been causing some issues for me.
Partially, it’s because I’ve committed to updating Sebastian weekly and I hate sending the newsletter without doing that. If work is crazy and I don’t get the chance to write that chapter during the week, then the weekend would be when I would get to do it. When that happens, I have to write the chapter as well as my newsletter and it’s super time-consuming and takes away from time I can spend with my boys.
So, I’m going to start sending my newsletter on a Tuesday. This way, I will have all weekend to write my Sebastian chapter and I can write my newsletter on Monday night after I get home from work.
I hope that’s okay with you guys, it’ll mean the next newsletter after this one will be on the 1st of September, and then weekly on a Tuesday after that.

CRUISE CONTROL
This has been a surprisingly chill week. I actually got on top of things at my day job, which meant less late nights at work, and more time to get things done.
I didn’t do a huge amount of writing, though, so I’ll try to focus on that a bit more this week since everything else is a bit less hectic.
GABRIEL’S ALBUM – GABRIEL AND ARIANA
I’ve finished chapter six and it sits at 31,113 words, now. Obviously, I haven’t added a huge amount to it. I think that I’m aware at the back of my brain that this is about to start getting emotionally draining to write.
Time to put my big girl panties on and just plow through it, embrace Gabriel’s pain, and hopefully do their story justice. I will say that I think Ariana is a lot more likable from Gabriel’s point of view.
We don’t get all of her endless insecurity, just Gabriel’s take on the things she says and does. It’s very interesting to see how he perceives it, that’s for sure.
THE WEDDING – HEATHER AND HARRISON
Teeny tiny update for this one. I haven’t heard back from the narrator since the updated extended sample was uploaded, but writing this was a good reminder to log in and send her a message to ask what’s up…logged in and sent. Gold star for me being productive. 😝
Here’s hoping I hear back, soon. Yay!
THE BABY – LITA AND SEBASTIAN
So, this is with the editor, which is great. She’s going to send me weekly updates because it’s such a beastly book that it’ll give me time to review as she goes along so that I can get it moved on to the proofreader quickly.
I’ve been listening to this as a low-key audiobook this week. I use the Voice Dream app to do this, it was expensive AF to get at first, but I have no regrets because I use it SO much and it helps me find typos/how some sentences can sound weird when spoken aloud.
Guys, it’s so good and I can’t wait for you all to read it. More importantly, I can’t wait for you to eventually read The Stalker and see how the entire series ends. Gah! It’s going to be awesome.

SEBASTIAN – YOUNG ADULT CRUISE CONTROL
Final update for this week, yes, there’s a new Sebastian chapter. Chapter 17 – Totally A Band is up now. I need to outline the rest of the book. I know vaguely what’s going to happen, but I need to plan it out so that I have more structure for the rest of it.
I think that I write better with an outline. So far, for this book, I knew what was happening because it was following a structure while they were at camp. But they’re going to go home to Chicago, soon, so I need more of a plan besides just, “I CAN’T WAIT FOR SEBASTIAN TO MEET HEATHER IN PERSON!” 😏
