What a great day to read books!

Hey guys, I’m here with your weekly newsletter. I’m feeling…on top of things, this week, which is great. My “day job” is in finance and we had the auditors in this week. If any of you have ever been audited, or are auditors, you might have some idea of how crazy life is during audit time.

So, I’m kind of surprised that I got any writing done, to be honest! But I did. The rewrite of The Baby is done and out with the alpha readers, now, for feedback.

I’ll tell you about that in the Cruise Control update, of course. Before that, I have three giveaways and five books to tell you about, so let’s get into it.

GIVEAWAYS

This is a BookFunnel giveaway with 133 books in it. There are some amazing books in there.

I, personally, got Shared By Her Billionaire Bosses…because…menage and billionaires seems like something that I would totally enjoy. Then I got Not Safe For Work because I apparently have no impulse control and must get all the books.

Get those books!

This BookFunnel promotion has 221 books in it. It’s another Kindle Unlimited one, so the books are free to read with a KU subscription, but can also be purchased.

I grabbed The It Girl Wears An XL and had to return Devious Lies because I’m basically permanently at the 10-book limit. Sigh. I know that I can’t keep all the KU books that I read on my device forever and returning one that I’ve actually finished makes sense, but I really liked that book!

The last giveaway this week is another BookFunnel one. It’s got 81 books in it, and there’s some really good ones in there.

I got Bad Boss because hot, billionaire bosses are apparently my jam. Will I ever read all of the books I download? I really should. I’m still committed to finish reading at least one book this week!

Focus, Siân, focus…in the meantime…

BOOKS

Award-winning romance that recently earned acclaim from the prestigious Next Generation Indie Book Awards and gold at the 2020 Independent Publisher “IPPY” Book Awards.

It’s been nearly a decade since Elle Sloan last saw Luke Hutchins. Close to ten years since she broke up with him over a single phone call, providing him with little explanation. Since the end of their relationship, Elle has done everything she could do to move on, marrying, proceeding forward with her life, almost allowing herself to completely forget about Luke.

Almost.

Out of nowhere, Elle receives a phone call from Luke’s mother. Luke has been in a horrific car accident and, a month later, has just awoken from a coma. However, instead of celebrating, his family is stunned to learn that Luke is suffering from amnesia and only remembers his life as it was before his breakup with Elle. Not wanting to tell Luke that he and Elle aren’t together anymore for fear it may compromise his recovery, Elle is asked by Luke’s family to come to the hospital to see him. Their hope is that she will slowly be able to jog his memory and cushion the blow.

Guilt-ridden over how their relationship ended, Elle readily agrees, finding herself transported back in time with Luke to the life they once shared and the future they could have had together.

Get When Time Stands Still

Lives of luxury are not always what they are cracked up to be.

Sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone and take advantage of situations as they arise.

Liz Chesterfield is a bored, neglected housewife. When her always-absent husband sends a new lawn boy he starts off on the wrong foot, but eventually earns his way into her good graces.

And then some…

This is a reverse harem story, where one woman gets the opportunity to see what it feels like to be surrounded by five gorgeous men who have been charged by her husband to make sure she’s happy with their service.

I read this story a while back, and I highly recommend it. The heat is off the charts and it was a very…enjoyable read. 😳

Get Lawn Boy

She went searching for her destiny and found love, with not one but two sexy cowboys.

Gwynn was leaving it all behind in the big city to pursue her dream of finally writing her novel. She hopes to find her muse in the quiet and isolation of the Mariposa Ranch, but what she finds instead are two smoking-hot cowboys. She burns for them, but she’s boring, a frumpy virgin, and there’s no way they can burn for her in return.

Dean and Jason have made a life for themselves among the cattle and dust of West Texas. They didn’t even know their lives were missing something until Gwynn showed up, her curvy body and brilliant mind calling to them like a siren. They want her, but she’s too good for their little part of Texas. It would take one hell of a woman to take on two cowboys forever, but for the next few months, she’s all theirs.

Theirs to share.
Theirs to possess.
Theirs to love.

To Love Her Cowboys is a steamy BBW menage romance, where happily-ever-after is a guarantee!

Get To Love Her Cowboys

Brian

I hate it when guys think they are entitled to a woman. After two tours overseas, handling these two young punks is nothing, I have ice water running through my veins. Nothing scares me, but relationships.

Relationships are detrimental in my line of work and I can’t afford the distractions. And then Summer enters my mind and my loft. Can I get out of my own way and have a future with Summer?

Summer

The dark reality of the big city is not quite what this country girl had in mind when I came out here. I’m stuck in this club with these two idiots who think I am going to sleep with them, but they are mistaken.

My polite refusal is not taken very well and they get rough…until some mysterious stranger steps in. I left without getting his name, but I have to see him again. Tracking him down was the easy part, keeping him might be harder.

CRUISE CONTROL

Cruise Control time! This week was mostly spent on the rewrite of The Baby, but I do have a fun bit of news about The Album, first.

THE ALBUM – ARIANA AND GABRIEL

So, a while back, I sent a copy of The Album to my grandmother. I wrote a message in the front. Something along the lines of ,”I’m sorry about all the sex scenes, maybe just skip past those!”

She’s 92-years-old, but she did have six kids, so it’s not like she doesn’t know about sex. But still, she’s my grandmother and that’s awkward. Anyway, I hadn’t heard anything about it, and I figured that she hadn’t read it but that was okay.

Well, on Monday, I have this Messenger conversation with my cousin who was down at Mamgu’s house (I’ve covered her face in the pic for her privacy 💗).

She finished reading it in two days and I did, indeed, end up sending The Wedding down with my mum when she went to visit on Wednesday. As of writing this, I’ve been told that my grandmother has reached chapter nine of The Wedding and wants to read The Baby as soon as she can!
In short, I can now officially say that The Album is suitable for people aged 18 to 92, and it’s available here if you want to read it. 😘

THE BABY – LITA AND SEBASTIAN

Well, well, well…three holes in the ground. (Does anybody else say this?)

Still no news on the audiobook for The Wedding, so nothing to say there, but…The Baby is broken.

I say broken, but in the end, I’m actually really happy with how it turned out. I sent it back to the alpha readers, yesterday, and as soon as they come back with their feedback I’ll make any last changes before it goes off to the editor.

I, personally, don’t think it’s as painful as The Wedding was, but you all know that book was intense as hell for me. That being said, it does still hurt to read and I do cry when I’m reading it, so there’s plenty of drama to go around.

I was surprised by some of the things that happened in the end. There’s a whole sub-plot full of dramatic tension between two characters that I never thought would fight.

I could go on and on about it, but I don’t want to spoil the book for you guys. Rest assured, I have things to say, though. When it’s released in November, I’ll probably write some blogs about it because on there I can do spoiler tags and talk freely. If you’re looking for my blog, you can find it here.

I actually haven’t been updating it that often, lately. I’ve just been slammed with writing and then rewriting The Baby.

Today, I plan to write the sneak peek for Sebastian’s Baby. In case you haven’t realised, the sneak peeks are one-shots that I write just for the back of the previous or companion book. It started because when I was about to write The Wedding, I wanted to get into Heather’s head.

To do that, I chose to rewrite the scene from The Album that I’d had in my head for seven years because I wanted Heather’s perspective on what happened. Thus began my idea of writing a sneak peek instead of using an excerpt.

Those sneak peeks will only ever be in the previous books, they’re not a part of the actual book they’re for. I like it because if I did an excerpt…yawn. You’ll read the same thing in the book itself. This way, it gives some sort of background or insight into the next book, which I think is more fun.

And I just realised that I’m going to have to write a sneak peek for The Album when I publish Gabriel’s Album. It’s the only one I never did a sneak peek for because it’s the first book!

Once I write the sneak peek for Sebastian’s Baby, the only ones actually left to write will be for The Album and Hayden’s Stalker. I already know what the sneak peek for Hayden’s Stalker will be, too…but I don’t have to write that until next year!

Anyway, that’s the story behind the sneak peeks. 😊

SEBASTIAN – YOUNG ADULT CRUISE CONTROL

And, finally, Sebastian…woo! Chapter 14 – Was It Worth It? is up now, so go check it out. It’s definitely an interesting chapter. Considering what we know now about Sebastian and Gabriel’s friendship, it’s fun to see how it began.

Unsurprisingly, Harrison and Hayden have always been chill AF with pretty much everyone. Nobody is surprised by this, right? 🤣

If you haven’t read any of Sebastian, yet, you can start by clicking here to read it for free on Wattpad!

That’s all from me, today, I hope you’re having a brilliant weekend and happy reading!
