March 14th is fast approaching!
I can’t even believe that it’s less than a week now ’til ‘The Album’ will be released. So much has happened in the last week, I’ve been frantically writing additions to the sequel. For new subscribers, it tells the story of Heather and Harrison and is called ‘The Wedding’. It’s currently at 35,359 words now, but I spent quite a bit of time working on the release of ‘The Album’ last week so had less time to write this week.
I got back the edited manuscript from my editor, Dana, last Saturday. I reviewed that and sent it off to my proof reader, Mark, on Sunday. He got the proof read back to me today and I reviewed that and got it back to him today for his wife, Lorna, to do the book formatting for me. It’s really nice getting feedback from people, Mark said that the book was very well written and reminded him of his days editing a music magazine, so that was nice!
Basically, we are on track for release next Saturday! Meanwhile, I’ve locked in a narrator for the audiobook and am waiting on a response as to timeframes for that to be recorded. I’m very excited to hear the book read by a proper narrator. I user a text-to-speech function to listen to it now (has been helpful for editing, the TTS robot gives no leeway for errors and it’s very obvious when you hear them!). A proper human being will be much nicer to listen to, though!
