The Wedding is finally out!
Guys, I don’t think that I could be more excited! I spent the week as sick as anything and am still coughing and hacking but I feel approximately 1,000x better than I did when I wrote my last newsletter!
I got my brain tickled in the name of civic duty and did not have the Coronavirus, woo! I still felt horrendous, though. The proof-read and edit for The Wedding was all finalised earlier in the week and now I’m back to The Baby with an extra side project called Dreams.
My books are all in Kindle Unlimited now, too, but I’ll get into all of that during the Cruise Control update!

I couldn’t resist! New header, this one with The Wedding, yay! It came out, yesterday, and I’m so excited for you guys to read it!
So, yeah, I put both The Album and The Wedding into Kindle Unlimited. It’s a 90-day commitment, so I’ll see how it goes. Let’s be honest, who didn’t think that I would do this after I got personally addicted to reading all those KU books for “free”? I mean…I’m pretty sure my trial is almost up, but I’ll be paying the $9.99 subscription when it does, I’m addicted!
In other news, I have a new project! Remember a while ago, I mentioned a standalone novel called Dreams? Well, I found all of those old chapters that I’d written and I’m going to finish it and release it! If you’re curious what it’s about, this is the working blurb:

As I mentioned last week, I did an author interview about The Album this week, it was so much fun. I loved Char’s questions, they were so insightful and it’s always fascinating to get other people’s takes on the book.

THE WEDDING – HEATHER AND HARRISON
Oh god, oh god, oh god, it’s out! I want you guys to read it and tell me what you think, so badly! This book is, straight up, my favourite. It’s just…ahhhhh, so good.
When I was uploading the .PDF for the paperback and hardcovers (which I waited till the 6th to do, so the publishing date would be right because I’m a weirdo!), I had to proof it.
I read some of my favourite parts while I was doing it (they come with certain specific things that I needed to check) and it just gives me all the feels. This book, that I wrote, is painfully beautiful to read. I stress that I wrote it, because even knowing every word of dialogue and thought that Heather has, I still feel everything with her.
I know that there will be people that don’t like it, I’m dreading those reviews (and I need to stop reading reviews lol) because when people complained about The Album, I thought, “you’re right, I can rewrite this and make it so much better,”…and I did.
If people say that about The Wedding, I literally do not know how I could make it better. I love it so much, I do. It’s so good and I’m so proud of it and I love it and I hope that you do, too, when you read it!

THE BABY – LITA AND SEBASTIAN
This currently sits at 118,359 words and I am at peace with it being a bigass book. That being said, there’s something about finishing it that is a problem for me!
I feel like I was telling you guys this a month ago when we were coming up to the 5 week mark of writing (I was), and here I am with the same issue.
I. Love. Sebastian. Fox. I really, really do. Is that why I don’t seem to want to finish this? Because it means finalising his story. It’s not like I don’t get to write Sebastian’s Baby at some point!
Either way…it’s gained about 3,000 words this week, and that’s it. You know what I did write? A solid 3,000 words of Dreams which, by the way, I’m not meant to be touching until I’ve finished both The Baby and Gabriel’s Album.
The Cruise Control novels have such specific release dates, that I need to make sure they’re all in order before I can write standalone stuff like Dreams.
Okay…I promise to you guys…I am going to write 10,000 words on The Baby by the time I send next week’s newsletter…which, incidentally, will be sent sometime mid-August!
I kid, I’ll send it next week and write the words before then. That is my promise to you! Look for a word count of 128,359 or higher, next week…or for the book to be ended, but there’s no effing way I’m ending it in 10,000 words’ time.
SEBASTIAN – YOUNG ADULT CRUISE CONTROL
Speaking of promises, I promised I would always update a chapter before sending my newsletter and Chapter 10 went up today.
I don’t know why I struggle with writing the YA stuff, I love these guys so much and they’re so adorable as teens.
I joked with my friend, “Sebastian’s so cute, he’s not even broken…okay, it’s time to break him!”. Let’s just say that he was a very different human being in his teens.
Don’t get me wrong, he was still arrogant AF, he still thought he was god’s gift to…everything. But he wasn’t yet broken so badly that one day he would need to be put back together piece by piece.
